Monica and Eric talk about Monica's renovation of her 2nd floor, and the surprises you find when you take the walls down in your house. Plus Raising goats in your backyard, Ice Dams, Rain Gutters, Dog Toys, insulating your home, and how to remove a bathtub from your home.

Hi Monica and Eric,
Great show once again. We recently purchased a home and did a bunch of work on the house mainly removing a popcorn ceiling and painted four rooms. We did all the work ourselves, and we were very lucky to be able to do the work before we actually moved in to the house. I have several friends that are doing home renovation, and they are having a tough time finishing. They should be done in the next few months, but it has been tough! It was nice to hear that other folks are also doing renovations.
Finally, congratulations of the Martha S. guest hosting gig! I hope we get to here a little on GF! I work those time so it will not be possible for me to hear you live. Take care, Martha 🙂

I'd bet that the phosphoric acid in Coke asks as a meat tenderizer when you use it in a crock-pot (slow cooker, sorry). The coke flavor would be a bonus for me!
If Monica has the rooms down to the studs, I would go with spray foam insulation. It goes on really fast and fills all the little nooks and gaps. It should be cheaper than when installed with the drywall in place.
Love your show!
