Mike and Eric talk about how to remove wallpaper and skim coat walls, then move on to urban foraging and the recent NY Times article about harvesting plants from city parks, then we segue into how to replace a car fender, and the caveats that go with working on a damaged car.
Temporary email addresses allow to get into sites that require an email address confirmation, but you'd rather not give the site your regular email address.
Sous vide cooking with a slow cooker, and how to control the temperature of a slow cooker for sous vide cooking comes next, with eric discussing his newest research. Here is the link to the Makezine.com page about sous vide controllers.
we finish up talking about eric's newest thing, plywood boats. More to come on that one.

While not a beekeeper, and having no plans to become one, I still find the topic fascinating. I also find the bee's output delicious...
Mike, the GMail trick you were seeking was putting a plus sign '+' between your GMail account and the at symbol '@.' When receiving email for that account you should see the extra characters in the email address which will allow you to identify the source.
Thanks for the hard work and entertainment.

Down here in Texas, we have Prickly Pear Cactus everywhere, including the yard. The Small red "pears" are now in season and are not bad eating as a foraged food. Just be sure to wear gloves or tongs when you pick then as they are full of small flexible spines.

Hello Eric and Mike,
I am a wanna be Beek (Bee-Geek) and love all the Bee Keeping info and learning experience you offer in the show! Keep it coming and please, please make more Bee Keeping up-date videos - I bee keep vicariously and would love to see more of the girls!

Hi Eric and Mike,
I have been listening for a while but had to chime in when Eric thought some of us might be bored about the bee keeping info. Here's the thing: for 20 years I was married to someone who couldn't be coaxed into saying more than 3 words at a time and was a ESPN sports freak (I know-bad choice but I have 3 wonderful sons and I learned a lot about myself). Thanks to my oldest son who bought me an iPod (when I gave away the TV) and turned me on to the world of pod-casting, I found GardenFork. Wow! Nice guys having actual conversations about a variety of interesting and useful topics in an entertaining way with no mention of sports or bad language. I am in heaven! Don't change a thing. You guys are a perfect mix of responsible and fun. I'll keep listening as long as you keep talking!

Barbara - I laughed out loud!
I think that what happens is that when people first find us, they send us some notes, but then people tend to lurk after a while. Going off on tangients and talking about Bees, dogs, computers, garbage disposals, bread, apples, muffins, trucks, pesto, compost and our listeners is something we like to do and so it comes easily.
Sometimes when something comes easily you wonder if it's got value. It really helps to know that there are Barbaras out there enjoying what we do and how we do it. Thanks for the feedback!
Mike
