  1. I’ve been doing that same method for cooling the house down and it works very well. One added thing I do I crack open the attic access to allow the hot air at the top of the house to escape. I made a screen to go over so keep insects from getting in the house. There is also an attic fan that runs when the temperature is above 20C (70F) and that really helps to pull the hot air out during the day.
