Hi! Here we are the first official real deal newsletter on the new site.

What a whack trip this has been.

But it was so great to hear from you all when I asked you to hit the reply button to tell your mail app that GF isn't spam. I still owe a bunch of you a reply. I am going to drink some caffeine and get that done.

If you are reading this and it landed in your Social or Promotions or Spam folder, please click and drag this email into your Primary/Main/Important Inbox. There may be a pull down menu somewhere to tell your mail app to move my newsletter in to your Main folder.

I dropped a big limb that was up 30' on a white birch without climbing a ladder, both feet square on the ground with a hand chainsaw kit.

I made a video about the limb removal and after watching it a few days after posting on YT, I wanted to explain better how the saw worked and the pros and cons of it. So the How It Works vid was born. I like the idea of a main video and then a follow up video on better-more details.

Hand Chainsaw Explained Cut High Trees Limbs, No Ladder Required.

I am making a new thumbnail for the first hand chainsaw vid with a ladder in the background and the log we cut in foreground this weekend.

What's with the (no clickbait)? Its my not so subtle jab at the YouTube creator disease that causes YT-ers to create FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) Thumbnails and Titles. I've tried to stay away from that kind of noise, creating titles and thumbs with a true description that hopefully piques people's interest. I realize I need to go back and rename a few older vids, as I have tried different things to see what works.

I still don't know what always works, but there is always some YT expert with a new vid on what they insist works. 🤣

Meanwhile...
I've gone big on overalls, just ordered 3 of them. 2 from Carhartt, 1 from Dickies. Listen how and why on the Gardenfork Radio Podcast:

Websites Are Dead, IMO

Still getting used to the new format on my Ghost hosted newsletter - website. So far pretty good. The only odd thing is you cannot easily center a line of text. I do like the incredibly clean and simple editor and layout. :)

One way to support GardenFork is to bookmark and start your shopping on my Amazon Shopping Page. Check out items that I actually use and find to be good.

Thx! Eric.
