I'm Tripping On My Pants
Hi Friend,
Above is about 130 lbs of Labrador who love to jump on your bed when you are trying to sleep. Sometimes Andy asks to jump up. Spike does not.
Finally a break in the cold, that if you live North, you have experienced. Last week one day almost hit 40º in the sun, and I needed to check on the honeybee's food supply. I opened the roof hatch and found the roof covered in ice. Fun.
I crawled to the hive. Keep in mind the roof is pitched toward the back building, where the hive sits. I did not want to slide off the roof. All I needed to do is crack open the top of the hive about an inch and slide in some sugar cakes. Peeking in, I have never seen so many bees on top of a winter hive. (The hive population decreases substantially in winter) Then a bunch of the bees decided to fly out at me. I usually don't wear my bee gear in winter because the bees are few and move slowly. Not this time. 3 stings right away.
I still had to get a few sugar cakes slid into the top of the hive, so I did that as quickly as possible, while being bonked by guard bees. Then I had to get the hive top closed again, which the bees didn't like either. I crawled back to the roof ladder.
Next time its full on bee gear and a smoker. And maybe a video.
I'm no longer using the Noom weight loss app. I talk about it on the GF Radio podcast this week. I am looking at several other apps that use cognitive behavior and similar methods. I asked Google's Gemini AI to put together a list of weight loss apps and it listed them out with reviews of each one and a chart of pros and cons of each app. AI does scare me, but it also can be of great help if I write out a request in detail.
Tackled a challenging sewing project, shortening the pant legs of my insulated coveralls. I did not re-hem the pant legs, I did something simpler that would not break my not industrial grade sewing machine. Watch Here.
