Mice. In The Car. Again.
Hi Friend,
Here is Spike at the dog beach in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. We are here most BKLN mornings. Soon the Parks Dept. will close the beach for the winter, else less than smart people will try to walk on the ice. But every morning we walk here, knowing one day soon we will have to explain to Andy that she can't swim till spring.
One of my long term projects has been planting more bird forage plants in the yard. I have been transplanting winterberry from a neighbor's field into the yard, its been cold enough that the plants are dormant, yet I can still dig into the soil. That probably changed this week, as there is 4" of snow on the ground up at the house. But there is one more outdoor project to complete this weekend: wrapping the greenhouse in UV stable clear plastic to hold it together before I finally rebuild it.
Then the big winter project is organizing this mess. I've been saving way too many clear plastic containers for way too long. Now I have to start, which is always the hardest part. Part of the declutter will be giving away my 1950s era Sears table saw, which has a steel bed. Instead of dreading this, I am actually looking forward to this.
