If you've got a squirrel-crazy dog, that frosted film is also good on sliding glass doors. Put a piece on both left and right sides from the floor up to above dog eye level, ez-pz if you've got terriers, and there is a lot less barking.

I have used liquid gesso on my windows. You can use a sea sponge or any material for a texture. You can dab it on or use any creative technique. I used a pineapple stencil on a door glass. I have use paper doilies, just try all kinds of materials. It just washes off.
